Well hopefully, by now everyone has heard that Ciaran Matthew Gent was born on May 9th, 2011.  He’s had a busy first month, and I’m updating this site.

Some of you may know that we’ve identified that something is wrong.  Thus far we have a preliminary diagnosis of Posterior Urethral Valve.  Unfortunately our little guy has an extra valve that makes it hard to vacate urine, and because he has to push harder his whole system operates at a higher pressure than it normally would.  Now, a lot of the info out there talks about a very serious version of this malformation, but fear not.  We think, and everything is still just speculation, that this is not as severe as it could be.  Therefore we’re hopeful the the long term complications associated with this defect won’t present.  I’ll have more info on this site, so please check in for updates, or check out Adi’s or my Facebook pages.  We’re on there quite a bit.
